Brief Bio
Lars Linsen is a Full Professor of Computational Science and Computer Science at the School of Engineering and Science of the Jacobs University, Bremen, Germany. He received his academic degrees in Computer Science from the Universität Karlsruhe (TH), Germany, including a diploma in 1997 and a Ph.D. in 2001. After three years as a post-doctoral researcher and lecturer at the University of California, Davis, U.S.A., and two years as an Assistant Professor at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Universität Greifswald, Germany, he joined Jacobs University as an Associate Professor in 2006 and was appointed a Full Professor in 2012. He is also the chair of the research center on Mathematics, Modeling, and Computing (MAMOC) at Jacobs University. Lars Linsen's research interests are primarily in the area of Data Visualization. ... Alexandru Telea received his PhD in Computer Science from the Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands,in 2000. Until 2007, he was an assistant professor in visualization and computer graphics at the same university. Since 2007, he is professor of computer science at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. His interests include 3D multiscale shape processing, scientific and information visualization, and software analytics.
